Michael Adams (born 17 November 1971) is an English chess Grandmaster (1989). His highest ranking is world No. 4, achieved several times from October 2000 to October 2002.His peak Elo rating is 2761.

He has achieved good results in World Chess Championship tournaments. Several times a World Championship Candidate, he reached the semifinals in 1997, 1999 and 2000. At the 2004 FIDE Championship, he reached the final, narrowly losing out to Rustam Kasimdzhanov in the tie-break games.

Arkadij Naiditsch (born 25 October 1985 in Riga) is a German and Azerbaijani chess player who was awarded the title ofgrandmaster in April 2001. In 1995 he won the European under-10 championship in Verdun.

Naiditsch was the clear winner of the Dortmund Sparkassen 2005 Tournament, ahead of higher-rated and well-known players such as Loek van Wely, Veselin Topalov, Peter Svidler, Vladimir Kramnik, Michael Adams, and Peter Leko. In 2007, he won the German national championship based in Bad Königshofen.

Hikaru Nakamura (ヒカル・ナカムラ Nakamura Hikaru, born December 9, 1987) is an American chess grandmaster.

He is a four-time United States Chess Champion,who won the 2011 edition of Tata Steel Group A and represented the United States at five Chess Olympiads, winning two team bronze medals. He has also written a book about bullet chess called Bullet Chess: One Minute to Mate.

His peak USCF rating was 2900 in August 2015.In October 2015, he reached his peak FIDE rating of 2816, which ranked him second in the world.
